Hi John,
Dave and I just wanted to send greetings to you and the team. We have been captivated by your blog and almost feel as if we are there and can envision the miracles that are happening there. What a blessing the team surely is to the Canaan orphanage and clinic. Although each day has its struggles, I know that God is using each of you mightily to bring hope, healing, and the love of Jesus to these special people that have so little hope. Dave and I have been praying for you and the work the team is doing there. We have been praying for Stephanie as well as she prepares her heart for her trip to work with the team, the clinic, and the MM program. Steph has always had a heart for missions, children, and the down trodden and is anxious to get there.

What great news about the water filtration system. We take so many things for granted and seldom think of the simple things we enjoy in the US such as the blessing of clean safe drinkable water. I can only begin to imagine how huge this is and what this will mean for everyone there. The hours of work devoted to this weekly task that can be diverted to other needed projects will be monumental. Dave and I are spreading the news of your blog to make as many aware of it as possible to lift you, the team, and your work up in prayer. Thank you for keeping all of us posted. When you come back, where will you fly into? Will you be able to visit family and debrief for a bit before going to DTS? We're just back from visiting our son that is getting married in Kansas City in August, so I need to call it a night.

Blessings

John, thank you for the blessing that you are to those people and to me. To read this morning what is going on there and how busy you must be it does nothing except get me motivated to want to get on a plane right now and fly there. Are you able to recieve mail? I don't have much to give, I would love to send some cloths and peanut butter for the children. Please thank every single person there with you that is helping. John you truly do have a place RESERVED for you in the Kingdom, I know the days are long and you may grow weary. Galatians 6:9 let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. securely His

My wife and I were at Canaan 2 years ago with a missions team. It is amazing the work the team is doing there. We were able to do eye exams on all of the kids and Gladys and their staff. We are excited about moving to Haiti full time in the near future. We can't wait to get back to Canaan and see the kids. God bless you for your work. We are just right up the road from you right now in Hickory NC. What a small world!
